Dr. Mohammad Hadi Fallahzadeh, President of the International University of Islamic Denominations, emphasized in a statement regarding the desecration of the shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) Dr. Mohammad Hadi Fallahzadeh, President of the International Univer

pilgrims: It is obvious that respecting the sanctity of the holy shrine and respecting religious beliefs and sensitivities is a universal duty for all pilgrims; on the other hand, differences in religious beliefs and the way they are expressed will not be a license to insult, attack the dignity of individuals, or disrupt the security and privacy of Imam Hussein.

The text of this statement is as follows: Based on the news received and the published videos, some have ignored the sanctity of Imam Hussein's privacy and have committed behavior and statements that are far from Islamic and Shiite norms and that are offensive to the pilgrims of Bohra Davoudi. It is obvious that respecting the sanctity of the holy shrine and respecting religious beliefs and sensitivities is a universal duty for all pilgrims; On the other hand, differences in religious beliefs and in the way they are expressed will not be a license to insult, attack the dignity of individuals, or disrupt the security and safe haven of the Imam Hussein (AS).

This action, which occurred during the days of mourning and love for the infallible and pure family, is not only in conflict with the character of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and human dignity, but also in three fundamental areas is inconsistent with the indisputable religious and historical principles of Shia Islam:

A) Conflict with the Quran and divine rituals: Revering divine rituals, including preserving the sanctity of the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS), protecting the security and tranquility of pilgrims, and observing etiquette in holy places, are signs of the heartfelt piety of believers. Any insult to pilgrims, creating tension, or engaging in unethical behavior in the sacred sanctuary of the Master of Martyrs (AS), is a clear violation of the sanctity of divine rituals and disregard for the sanctity of this luminous place.

b) Conflict with the conduct of the pure Imams (a.s.): In Shiite traditions, pilgrims to the holy grave of Imam Hussein (a.s.) enjoy a high status. Imam Sadiq (a.s.) honored the pilgrims of the Imam and stated a special status for them. Therefore, any attack on the dignity of pilgrims or behavior that disrupts their peace and spiritual security is incompatible with the spirit of the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.), which is based on tolerance, love, dignity, and respect for human beings.

c) Conflict with the conduct of Shiite elders and the tradition of peaceful coexistence: The history of Shiism has always been a witness to the peaceful coexistence of followers of different sects near the holy shrine. Great Shiite scholars have always emphasized protecting the sanctity of pilgrims, avoiding division, and avoiding any action that would cause disrespect to the sect or harm the unity of the Islamic nation.

Insulting and unreligious behaviors have nothing to do with this precious heritage. The Iranian devotees of Imam Hussein (AS) have always been a symbol of love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), politeness, hospitality, and tolerance towards followers of different religions. A small group action that violates norms should never be blamed on the vast multitude of Husseini lovers who have been a source of pride for brotherhood, coexistence, and closeness among Muslims for years.

On the other hand, although the moral, customary, and behavioral standards of the Twelver Shiite Imams emphasize the sanctity of man as the Caliph of God, the Husseini shrine during the days of Muharram, and especially Tasu'a and Ashura of Hussein, is associated with a common identity with symbols such as a state of sadness and symbolic mourning clothing and appeal to the Imams, especially the Imam Asr (AS). Therefore, any collective movement that contradicts this general culture and the general cultural atmosphere of these places, and even if it is accompanied by religious beliefs, can provoke and irritate others. Therefore,Bohra pilgrims should act in a way that does not provoke others, both in their behavior - clothing and reciting Dua and pilgrimages.

The International University of Islamic Denominations, with its mission of promoting approximate knowledge and strengthening the unity of the Islamic Ummah, considers any insult to pilgrims, divisive behavior, as well as any act that violates norms and is contrary to the sanctity of holy places, contrary to Islamic principles, the character of the Prophet and Imams, and the authentic Shiite culture. These actions are merely the behavior of a few groups that should not be blamed on the great community of Husseini lovers.
