Student Life
Welcome to Student Life
In accordance with the regulations established by the Student Affairs Organization of the Ministry of Science, all international students in higher education institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran are required to reside, as much as possible, in the dormitories allocated by the university. This is to ensure that the university can provide appropriate services to them. To this end, the International University for Islamic Denominations (IUID) has made efforts to offer suitable dormitory facilities for all single male and female students at minimal cost. The accommodation fee for the dormitory is 600,000 Tomans per month, which includes the essential amenities for a comfortable student life. It is important to note that the dormitory facilities are available only for single individuals (or married individuals who attend alone without family members), and unfortunately, accommodation services for married students cannot be provided.
- Among the features of the university's dormitories are their proximity and easy access to all administrative, educational buildings, libraries, and dining halls.
- Meals, which include only lunch and dinner, are provided at a price of 10,000 tomans per meal, ensuring high quality and variety for students.
- Cultural and Interfaith Activities
The International University for Islamic Studies, with its commitment to interfaith dialogue, consistently strives to create a joyful and engaging environment for students. It aims to introduce the core concepts of interfaith dialogue from both theoretical and practical perspectives, enabling students to operationalize these essential elements as cultural, social, and religious agents. In this regard, the university staff has always sought to facilitate cultural and interfaith excursions throughout the city and country, allowing students to explore historical and cultural sites while engaging with key religious and cultural figures involved in interfaith dialogue.
- Academic and Cultural Meetings
One of the most significant cultural and student activities at the International University for Islamic Studies is the organization of a wide range of academic, cultural, and educational meetings aimed at enhancing students' insights and knowledge. Efforts are continually made to identify the best instructors and relevant topics in various academic fields to provide the highest quality educational experience for both the university community and its students.
- Scientific and Interfaith Synergies
Among the university's ongoing programs and achievements is a commitment to establishing effective connections with other domestic and international universities, particularly those in the Islamic world and neighboring countries. Synergies in thought, philosophy, and the necessities of interfaith dialogue, as well as discussions on specialized topics from the perspective of interfaith understanding, are among the goals of these initiatives.
- Library
The International University for Islamic Studies, based on its interfaith mission and the diversity of its academic programs up to the doctoral level, has endeavored to compile resources and books on jurisprudence and legal studies from both Sunni and Shia perspectives, as well as on the history of sects, nations, religions, and political movements in the Islamic world. Additionally, it has connected to international databases to provide necessary educational and research resources for students, faculty, and researchers in various languages. To this end, over 30,000 physical books have been collected, along with 3,842 titles (including 6,840 Arabic volumes, 450 Persian volumes, and 180 Latin volumes), as well as 451 theses from university students available in the digital library for public access. Furthermore, the university library's connection to four major human sciences databases—such as Noor Specialized Journals Database (Noor Magz), Noor Digital Library (Noor Digital Library), Noor Software Online Portal (Abar Noor), and Civilica Scientific Database—adds significant value to the library's offerings.
- Sports Programs
Sports activities are essential for promoting vitality, dynamism, and maintaining both physical and mental health. For this reason, they have consistently been emphasized by religious leaders as important aspects of well-being. In this regard, the university has made efforts to create a lively and healthy environment for student sports competitions by offering a variety of sports services. These include providing access to well-equipped multi-purpose halls in the city, participating in inter-university sporting events at the provincial and national levels, and organizing internal university events and competitions.
