 Introduction and Job Descriptions

The Office of International Scientific Collaborations at the International University of Islamic Denominations (IUID) was established in 2013 with the aim of expanding the university’s international scientific collaborations. The planning and pursuit of programs and activities to develop relationships with other universities and educational and research centers, both domestic and international, and utilizing these relationships are among the most important responsibilities of this office. The main goal of the office is also to help strengthen the university's scientific standing and credibility in both domestic and international arenas. To this end, the key responsibilities of this office are as follows:

  • Conducting external correspondence between the university and scientific centers abroad.
  • Hosting delegations from foreign universities, scientific centers, or international organizations for visits to the university.
  • Sending university delegations to visit and negotiate with partner universities or to participate in meetings of international organizations.
  • Coordinating necessary arrangements for holding international scientific and research seminars, congresses, and conferences by other units and faculties.
  • Making necessary arrangements for university faculty members to participate in foreign and domestic congresses, conferences, and seminars.
  • Managing matters related to scholarships, sabbatical opportunities, and academic travels for faculty members in cooperation with the educational and research departments.
  • Facilitating the conditions for attracting non-Iranian students and supervising non-Iranian students currently studying at the university.
  • Collaborating to establish connections between university-affiliated units and faculty members with international scientific forums and foreign scholars, in cooperation with other relevant university units and the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology’s International Scientific Collaborations Center.
  • Drafting and signing scientific, research, and cultural agreements with universities, research centers, organizations, and scientific societies both domestically and internationally.
  • Managing the university's membership in international academic organizations and unions.
  • Cooperating with Iranian organizations active in the international domain.
  • Disseminating announcements regarding the holding of international specialized seminars and congresses, calls for papers, educational workshops, scholarships, and short-term and long-term educational courses at foreign universities and research centers.
  • Participating and collaborating in domestic and international exhibitions and events.
  • Performing other assigned tasks related to international scientific collaborations by the university president.
