Consular Affairs
Consular Affairs
The International Consular Affairs Unit of the Islamic Denominations University provides consular services to all applicants and students. These services include assistance before the start of studies, obtaining student visas and sending them to the embassy or consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the requested country, issuing residence permits, extending residency, exit and re-entry permits, and final exit procedures after the completion of studies.
Note 1: Family members of students (spouses and children under 18) are also eligible for consular services, including the issuance of residence permits and exit permits. It should be noted that obtaining a tourist visa for family members is the responsibility of the individuals. However, after arriving in Iran, the university's consular office will assist in obtaining a residence permit for family members based on the student’s residency.
Note 2: The spouses of female students are not eligible for residency benefits. Given potential changes in consular regulations, those eligible should verify the latest consular laws before proceeding by contacting us via email at admissions@mazaheb.ac.ir.
- Obtaining the Study Permit from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (SAORG Code)
One of the steps for final admission after your initial acceptance by the university is registering on the website of the Student Affairs Organization of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran and obtaining the "Study Permit Approval." To access the website, please follow this link and consult the registration guide. After registering on the website, you must send the tracking code generated at the end of the registration process to the university's Admissions and Consular Affairs expert at admissions@mazaheb.ac.ir for verification.
Note: Applicants should be aware that without the issuance of the "Study Permit Approval," no consular procedures, including the issuance of student visas, residence permits, etc., can be completed.
- Visa
All students studying at universities and higher education institutions in the Islamic Republic of Iran must enter the country with a "student visa." Registration and commencement of studies with any other type of visa (tourist, business, work, etc.) are prohibited. Therefore, after initial acceptance by the university and the issuance of the Study Permit Approval by the Student Affairs Organization of the Ministry of Science, you will receive an email from the university's consular office regarding the submission of a visa application. This email will include all necessary documents, including the visa application form and required materials.
