Introduction of the Deputy
Vice Presidency for Research and Technology – International University of Islamic Denominations
The Vice Presidency for Research and Technology of the International University of Islamic Denominations (IUID) is one of the university’s principal pillars for fulfilling its academic and research mission and for developing and expanding Islamic and rapprochement-oriented knowledge.
The Vice Presidency focuses on the production, development, and dissemination of knowledge related to Islamic rapprochement, comparative studies, and Islamic sciences, while creating the conditions for problem-oriented, applied, and impactful research addressing cultural, social, and academic issues in the Islamic world.
Its principal approach is to establish a strong link between research, societal needs, and the issues facing the Islamic world, moving beyond knowledge production toward applying scientific achievements to problem-solving and strengthening scholarly dialogue among Islamic schools of thought.
Within this framework, supporting faculty members and researchers, guiding and supporting research projects, expanding academic cooperation, strengthening scholarly journals and publications, organizing specialized seminars and conferences, and developing relations between the university, society, and academic institutions are among the major priorities of the Vice Presidency.

- Expanding comparative and interdisciplinary studies in Islamic sciences.
- Supporting problem-oriented research addressing the needs of the Islamic world.
- Strengthening scholarly dialogue among Islamic schools of thought and academic institutions in the Islamic world.
- Expanding national and international research cooperation.
- Enhancing the quality, credibility, and academic standing of the university and its scholarly journals.
